Backroads and Islands Tour
October4/5/6
Experience the beauty and exhilaration of the Washington Coasts. Meander through Whatcom and Skagit counties along northern coasts, travel the curves on central backroads, and circle 4 islands - Samish, Camano, Fidalgo and Whidbey (last 2 connected by the beautiful Deception Pass Bridge above). The scenery is unsurpassed and full of lots of ”Porsche-type” roads.
More details on routes (Google Maps) and itinerary to follow - but initially, these include a coastal drive from Blaine to Bellingham for lunch at ScottyBrowns Social House. Then we're off to Deming and onto twisty HWY 9 south to Big Lake, and onto Hwy534 to Camano Island and Anacortes. Saturday is a 2-Island drive which will leave time to enjoy the Majestic Spa and Anacortes city. Sunday, we drive another coast to La Conner through Washington Park and the Swinomish Nation, to Camano Island and home via Chuckanut Dr to Fairhaven, Bellweather and other areas in Bellingham to Blaine.
While on the tour, we'll stay at the fabulous Majestic Inn and Spa on Anacortes for two nights and enjoy the hospitality of a Buffet dinner. Saturday’s dinner in true American West Coast fashion at Washington State’s own Anthony’s restaurant on the harbour.

The deadline to receive the rate above is August 30th. Also, any cancellations must be made before September 1st. In the unlikely event you must cancel, and there is no one to take your place, there will be no refunds and you will be charged for the hotel stay.
PLEASE NOTE THE TOUR CANCELLATION POLICY IN EFFECT PRIOR TO REGISTERING:
Tour Registrants may cancel up to 30 days prior to the event with a full registration refund.
Cancelling within 14 days of the event will result in a 95% refund NO REFUND if cancellation occurs less than 14 days from the event
Notwithstanding the above, if the event is cancelled due to COVID 19, Forest Fires, floods or other acts of God, registrants will receive a full refund
TOUR REGISTRANTS CANCELLING MUST CANCEL THEIR TOUR REGISTRATION PRIOR TO CANCELLING THEIR HOTEL ROOM RESERVATION. THEREFORE, IF YOU DECIDE TO CANCEL PLEASE CONTACT THE TOUR LEAD, GARY WALKER, PRIOR TO CANCELLING SO WE CAN ARRANGE FOR ANOTHER MEMBER TO TAKE YOUR HOTEL RESERVATION.
