2023 Big Surf Tour

UCLUELET & TOFINO

Friday May 12 to Sunday May 14, 2023

This 3 day, 2 night tour will take a scenic route from the lower mainland beginning with the classic BC Ferries passage to Vancouver Island.  This is a special tour that will combine some of BC's finest twisty back roads with epic scenery and featuring 2 nights at one of Canada's most outstanding Ocean Resorts, the Black Rock Oceanfront Resort in Ucluelet.

BC Ferries

There's just something about Ferry Crossings that make road trips more special:  The tour will begin Friday morning (May 12, 2023) sailing BC Ferries from (Horse Bay or Tsawwassen) and return on Sunday (May 14, 2023) via Nanaimo or Swartz Bay.   

Instructions:  It will be important for the participants to book their own out and back reservations (BC Ferries only books groups in a single vehicle charters). 

The Drives

 

Friday the tour will make its way to Ucluelet on some of Vancouver Islands best roads.  There will be several scenic stops including Goats on the Roof, Old Growth Cathedral Forest, streams, waterfalls and Road Side attractions. 

Saturday the group is free to drive backroads in the area and make stops in Tofino. 

Sunday will feature optional return routes and allow flexibility for participants to tour together or follow their own itinerary home on the most convenient sailing route (make reservations).

The tour group will be staying at Black Rock Oceanfront Resort one of the most stunning new outposts on Canada's wild Pacific Coast.  Expect outstanding views and a luxury resort experience. 

Our club has secured a block of rooms special rates on meals and accommodation including Studio, Suites, and Cabins both with and without Ocean Views.

We have also secured the Black Rock's Wine Cellar for our dinners, a very special room 

Registration includes:

Dinner in the Black Rocks special Wine Cellar Room on Friday and Saturday night.  Great food, Cash Bar and no need to worry about driving back to the resort.

Contact the Resort early to make your reservation.  Cancellations are accepted up to 7 days prior without penalty and if the tour has to cancel due to travel restrictions all deposits will be refunded.

Capacity is currently limited to 12 Porsche Vehicles (24 Guests).

Recommend making your room reservation immediately after registering for this tour (first come, first serve). 

Friday afternoon, after arriving and checking in, we can have our own show and shine in front of the resort and an informal happy hour.

Saturday will feature the options of a group drive with time spent in the outstanding hip surf town of Tofino BC.  Alternatively, some may prefer to just hang out and do your own thing at the resort, maybe a hike and spa?

Saturday evening the group will enjoy a special dinner together in the Black Rock Wine Cellar (included in the registration fee).
